Janet was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, the heart of the Bluegrass Region. She played Division I Tennis at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After college Janet returned to her hometown where she earned a Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration from the University of Kentucky while working for the athletic department.
Janet left the world of athletics in 2005 to start her career in Pinehurst, NC as a Residential Real Estate Broker. The Byrd Family has called Wilmington, North Carolina home since 2013 when they relocated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for her husband, Jason, to start a career with Live Oak Bank. They have two boys, Langston and Emmet.
Janet has over 17 years of real estate industry experience in 3 different markets. She has an appreciation for historic homes and the desire to educate her clients about the real estate process. As a Pricing Strategy Advisor, she feels determining property values depends more than ever on professional expertise and competence to be able to properly counsel clients on pricing whether you are Buying or Selling.
